Product Update / W33 2024

Hi, this is John from Philo. Philo aims to become the go-to research platform for stock investors, who want to validate investment ideas by easily interpreting data.

Also, we are not just going to stay as a research platform, rather hoping to become the frontpage of stock investment. So, we are planning to roll out new features based on the following framework.

1. Collecting new information & generating investment ideas

2. Conducting top-down research

3. Conducting bottom-up research

4. Keeping track of interested stocks

5. Managing invested stocks

6. Keeping investment memos

Our current interests are focused towards streamlining number 1 to 3.

Starting from 1, we are going to be redesigning Philo’s homepage. The following image is just a mockup so just bear with me.

We’re also going to make a free mobile app & web extension to clip every data you find interesting directly from smartphones or web browsers. Just simply stash them for later and Philo will remind you with investment ideas related to the article. Coming soon :)

For number 2, we are going to provide a wider variety of information based on users’ queries. A full-stack search engine to support a wide spectrum of investors.

We’ve already added a new awesome feature before going under a major facelift. Investors can be alert for daily trends. We achieve this by analyzing news articles but are going to integrate social media data as well.

Finally, number 3 is already going under some changes with some killer features. We have been R&D-ing for some time now, and we’ll get to you on this next week.
